Maud was quite the fashion plate. I have a book that is a catalogue of an exhibition of her clothing. She was one of the better dressed British royals and brought that sense of style to Norway, in my opinion.

King Haakon VII together with Queen Maud and Crown Prince Olav embarked at Dover to return to Norway.

I do like seeing this family.

I also hope certain people don’t push themselves forward with uninvited holiday greetings and professions of deepest love on Twitter.

I thought the same. Sadly we can't really stop them.

nice pictures! I sort of love how the gingerbread house is imperfect, like clearly they decorated it themselves instead of their professional pastry chefs. I know it's all PR but this makes them seem a little more relatable to me

The gingerbread house is made by a local kindergarden  and gifted to the RF.

The King and Queen will spend christmas with Märtha Louise. The CP family will be at their cabine in Uvdal.

I LOVE Sonja's shoes

Dorothy’s Ruby Slippers!

I’ll be honest, although it’s a nice photo, Ingrid’s co,our choice and positioning make her almost invisible! My eye was drawn to SM on the side in his bright blue suit. He and IA should have swapped places, at the very least - she is the heir, after all.

My eyes were also drawn to someone or something else rather than towards IA standing in the middle. Strange as usually people in the middle draw more attention. However, as Haakon also stands in the middle, prominent position, then its ok for SM to stand on the side. Ingrid could have worn something more colorful than plain black. Red wouldn't have helped thought, as then she would have dissapeared against the red curtain.

The photo looks strange when Mette-MArits stands to the side and look like she is 20 cm taller than Haakon, if they stood in the midle with a kid on each side it would have looked more balanced.

Sonja looks so fresh and modern for her age which is over 80!!

And MM's style choice is akin to someone over 80!
