well it was his fault they told him not to marry her and he taked no heed  Roll Eyes

but even if she had not brought the illness to the SRF I doubt that her life would have been very different

I agree, maybe it would have taken him a bit longer but he would have ended doing the same.

OMG silly idiot.
First of all, the fact that Haemophilia run in the families was already known...secondly as a carrier you aren't exactly contageous. If the children were ok, then contact with their mother wouldn't suddenly make them bleeders.Anyway, the fact that Sofia comes from a HP family and the spanish are cursed with that should have raised some concerns back then.... Apparenlty it didn't and quite fortunately they are all ok....
Rearden, I am getting confused...Friederike was Sofia's mother and not a member of the spanish but the greek royal family, right? Crazy
It wasn't that, it was the disappoinment of knowing she was a carrier thus their children could be born infected.
And the Haemophilia is completely eradicated from the SRF now, most schools have at least an exercise of the haemophilia in the royal family when studying genetics.  Smiley

It actually is funny how the disease suddenly broke out, wrecked havoc and then whoosh was gone again....

My parent are from the Northern part of Greece andQF did alot to help the children their esp the orphans. The communist insurgents tried to kidnap the children and these orphanges protected many of the kids.
