Well Belgium has the same flag colors like Germany, only that the gold in the middle of looks more green here.

When you look closer, you will see it are more the colors of the Belgian flag.
The Belgian flag has 3 vertical stripes, from left to right: black-yellow-red.
Indeed, with regard to the colors similar to Germany, but with regard to the orientation of the stripes similar to France.
AFAIK, countries of latin descent have vertical stripes (France, Italy, Romania but not Spain) and those of germanic descent (Germany, Netherlands) have horizontal stripes.
