God help that poor child being born into this crazy family! This is one of Elisabeth's latest instagram posts.

Maybe i'm lacking a sense of humour but this looks a bit debauched to me (yes im a very conservative person). Either Albert has a very bold and odd sense of humour or he has leanings (isn't June Gay pride month?). Still I think this is a very scary photo! Perhaps there is more of his father in him than first thought - but in my opinion he should own up to it if this is the case!

I love the name Mafalda. Is it considered old fashioned? I think the picture of Albert in bridal drag is funny. They all have a healthy sense of humor and their parents flair for the outrageous. That makes a nice balance from their conservative faith. I've always liked that about Gloria. She may be elitist but she has fun and has a strong faith in God. Humorless religious people are the worst. Plus she rallied like a trooper after her husband died and she was about to be penniless with three kids to feed.

Here in Germany it is considered very old fashioned and not nice to burden your child with such a name. Hope they stay in London because the girl would suffer with such a name in Germany (all the other children would mock her because of the name)

Maybe they decided to honour Princess Mafalda of Thurn and Taxis (6 March 1924 ? 24 July 1989) ?Anyway, not the best choice of the name. Mafalda is quite outdated name.I don't know why but I thought about some decease when I have heard that name Angry

I don't know Trier if it is considered that old-fashioned anymore in Germany. In 2015 the name soared in girls being named Mafalda. I personally knew but 1 girl named that way and we were envious about that name. I always loved it.

In Old High German ("die im Kampf M?chtige"), Italian and Portuguese it means: "The mighty in battle".

Gloria TNT has a new expensive english language book out about Albert's her beloved 500 room Schloss.

http://www.rizzoliusa.com...ok.php?isbn=9780847847143

Nice to see the bling out of the vaults and being worn. Although I dont like the use of fur!

There is a youtube introduction in English too.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9enXzTEcLU

I must say I find it amazing how 25 years of being a widow and 14 years since the Regency offically ended there is very little evidence of the actual Furst in the schloss and in the public image - just a trophy room. Anyone who didnt know the history would believe she was Furstin in her own right (rather than through marriage) as every page in the book shows her stamp on the place.

I notice that Countess Beatrix has a sitting room -I'm not at all suprised that there is no new Furstin on the scene as she would probably end up like the second Mrs DeWinter in Rebecca one step behind Gloria and her mother in the Schloss. Amazing how little power sharing there is with Albert considering that at his age Johannes was running the whole empire
