These wonderful castles, and the Ring Cycle of Richard Wagner.  We are better off as a result of this unusual King.

I love the castles too, I think Linderhoff holds a special place with me.  When I visited it was foggy and atmospheric, giving the visit a magical air.

Although I could have passed up the Grotto.   Star For you good taste Elisabeth, and happy to give you your first star and welcome you to Royal Dish.

Linderhof Castle was the private palace of King Ludwig II. It was designed for him to hide away from the hubbub of his kingdom. It had only ten rooms; four of these were for servants.
