Strange, but nothing is impossible...............................................what would happen if Frederick abdicated, would Prince Joachim then become Crown Prince in waiting (until Christian could take his place), I know as long as the Queen is alive no worry.......................but what if................
or would Mary rule for Prince Christian?   Don't forget the abdication???  Would Prince Joachim have any say for 20-or so years (until Prince Christian's rule?)  Hubby, has interesting questions.  Can Frederick abdicate also for his babies???
If Frederick (of course) divorced Mary....................what about the babies and Prince Joashim's role....if any.

Hmmm...interesting questions.  The last czar of Russia, Nicholas II, abdicated both for himself and for his teen-aged son, Alexei.  So perhaps Fred could do the same.  Don't know for sure.  And if he didn't, I think a regent would be named who would rule in Christian's stead (if Margrethe died) until Christian reached his majority.  That situation actually has happened occasionally in history in some other countries.  Anyway, as I said earlier, you've posed some interesting questions.
