Ampthill Park House was built from 1687 to 1689 by architect Robert Grumbold for the Ossory family who held the estate under lease. It is in Ampthill, Bedfordshire, England.

Eggington House is the manor house of the village of Eggington in Bedfordshire, England. It was built for John Reynal (Renouille) of France.

Knenworth House in Hertfordshire, England is the home of the Lytton family. In 1843 Edward Bulwer Lytton had domes and gorgoyles added to the edifice.

The Grand Duke Michael of Russia and his morganatic wife lived at Knebworth for a year, when exiled from Russia for marrying. They only returned at the outbreak of war.

The poet Alexander Pope spent much time at Mapledurham manor house in Reading, England visiting his friends, Martha and Theresa Blount. He may have landscaped the grounds.
