I'm inclined to think the earrings were a loan or gift from the jeweller.

The Diana ring.  You know what bugs me about that ring?  All those prongs, and that thin band.  That's why it always flops to the side and that would really REALLY bug me.  If it was MY ring, I'd redesign it.  Partial bezel set on the stone, thick platinum band.  And that eternity ring, larger stones.  I don't really like the gold wedding band with those other rings, but I can see why they are trying to uphold the tradition of the Welsh gold.  If that was my finger, I would have asked to break the tradition.

IA.  In fotos that ring is sliding all over her finger back and forth. It makes me wonder if the anniversary band is supposed to keep it from falling off her finger. It would be best if the ring was modified for the current wearer. If that wasn't possible, convert it to a brooch or a pendant. Then, hubby can purchase a stone ring for an anniversary that she can wear that is more in porportion to the hand and finger that will wear it.

Added:
As well, the watch band is too large for her wrist. It shouldn't be rolling around her wrist. A couple of links should be removed.
The watch face seems too large for the wearer's arm.

Thanks Peeds! Hug

I have no idea but I'm guessing the ring is from Seabiscuit. The necklace or watch maybe from mom and dad perhaps? Thinking

The wedding day acorn earrings were supposedly a gift from the Middletons, a reference to the acorns on their new coat of arms.

They were on display in Buckingham Palace along with the Halo tiara and the wedding dress.

The earrings are beautiful, very sparkly!

I know there have been discussions about the engagement ring and that Kate changed it. I came across an article that explains why it looks different than when Diana first received it from Charles. (The web page address is here: http://www.dianasjewels.net/rings.htm)

It says that when Diana first received the ring it only had 8 prongs...2 in each corner.

At some point Diana had more prongs added making it look the way we see it currently.

The only mention I can find of what Kate having the ring changed, was to ask Royal crown jeweler G. Collins and Sons to make it smaller because she was afraid of losing it. The jewel is said to have added two bumps to the inside of the band to tighten the ring on her finger.

Waity's jewels are a joke, the kind we used to find as kids in kinder eggs. Very appropriate for someone like her, with the exception of the emeralds, who truly deserve better!
