It takes a racy sort of girl to relish the challenge of rowing across the English Channel.

But Kate Middleton may not have realised just how racy the company would be when she agreed to join the rowers in a glamorous all-girl team.

These spirited ladies may all be in the same boat but there the similarities most definitely end.

While Miss Middleton, 25, has made a name for herself as the elegant companion of Prince William, Emma Sayle, 29, has made a name for herself too - organising risque parties for wealthy, attractive and broadminded couples.

As whispers about her past refused to go away, the former public schoolgirl was keen to play down her role in Killing Kittens, the private club that blurs social and sex lives. Or to put it bluntly, organises orgies.

Miss Middleton has been training on the oars three times a week, said Miss Sayle, whose organisational skills made her a natural for team leader.

They will race across the Channel on August 25 against a male team to raise money for two charities.

Given Prince William's mischievous sense of humour, he is likely to be as intrigued as anyone about Miss Sayle, the lively daughter of a diplomat.

I'm getting the feeling that anything goes these days. Gone are the 60s when Margaret couldn't have her man because he was a divorcee. Starmakers, chest rubbing and orgies seem to be the way to go, regardless of the country.

It looks like an arranged photo op for Kate. She was the only one wearing full makeup and posing for the camera.

I was thinking that too, DKaren. Who goes for a workout with the hair flying like a shampoo ad. And how convenient, that she is so visible at the helm, instead of amoung the others...

They're going to row 21 miles across the English Channel?  After training for only three days a week for a couple of months?  I don't think so.  The English Channel has currents and tides and waves.  Lots of waves!!  It'll be harder to slog across to France than it has been to glide up and down their local river.  Think of the blisters on their hands.  Think of their tired and sore bottoms.  I hope I'm wrong, but we'll see.

Frankly I was kind of wondering too, if the Britain and Frnace have grown closer than I remember. Since this whole enterprise seems to me more than just a good joke. It is tough, exhausting and to an extent dangerous.
Lets hope that Kate is not yet royal enough to think that life vests are dumb... Huh?

They are posed photos.

Kate is on the front cover of Hello! for an exclusive photoshoot-so much for media intrusion!

What a lovely    role-model    Kate is.
Spends most of her evenings in various bars till the wee hours
Only goes to work if the media is around to take pictures of her going to work
Sponges off her parents (they or someone) pays her bills (housing, shopping, beauty-spa treatments)
Doesn't act like a Lady (dance floor, sitting etc)

Will do whatever it takes to be Queen     Princess frog2
Where have we seen this before ?

I'm just curious as to how the British people feel about her possibly being their next queen?  But then she would follow behind Camilla, who is not my most favorite person, so she would come in after an adultress.  That makes tiny dresses and clubbing pale.  She needs to focus a career.
