So, who do we think the designer is going to be?

My money is on Bruce Oldfield as he has been mentioned for a while now. Designers like Amanda Wakeley will be out because of their associations with Diana and Issa is out because she isn't British.

I would be very surprised and quite pleased if Kate chose an unknown, up-and-coming designer but her wardrobe is blandsville so cannot see her having the initiative to do that.

British designer is the only I can say  Wink

Have we ever seen her with her hair up? I can't imagine her with that long, long hair loose at her wedding.

She tried to halfway pull it up once at a movie premiere charity event sometime in 2010, and failed miserably.

I personally can't wait forward til the caked-on eyeliner.

Sassi Holford?  She designed Autumn Philips wedding dress...

Here's more about her.  She sounds like a nice person -

Bruce Oldfield is being touted as the favourite over here. I agree with LS there is no way Kate will have the confidence or initiative to really push an up and coming designer which is a damn shame.

My only hope is that William hasn't mentioned anything about liking how Serena Linley honoured her MIL with her dress design when she got married otherwise we might end up with the meringue re-incarnated (hopefully not since its so old fashioned but you never know!!)

If this is true, I think William kicks fat Albert from the Oedipus complex throne.

What a slap in Camilla's face if it was true!  but it's probably an hoax...

Yikes!  This could give Albert ideas.  We might see Charlene trotting out in Grace's iconic gown.  Or, a halter neck version of it   Nerves

It is a shame that Alexander McQueen is no longer around.  Cry  He could of designed a magnificent dress. I remember seeing a wedding dress he designed for his friend, the writer/ socialite Plum Skyes. The dress was amazing.

Although some of his designs may have been a bit out there for royals or a royal wedding.

Are you referring to the purple velvet dress, into which Mary and Fergie squezzed themselves? Or the beautiful orange shift, that looks exactly like Letizia's?
