Are we really debating how often a mother can post pictures of her child on her personal social media page?
No. We're just commenting and giving our opinions in a non-combative fashion, like all good Royal Dishers do.

Yep, I hope both HM and Phillip get to meet their new little great grandsons in the near future. Pictures would be great too.

It doesn't matter how old you get, buying snacks for a road trip should always look like an unsupervised 9-year-old was given $100. Anonymous

No. We're just commenting and giving our opinions in a non-combative fashion, like all good Royal Dishers do. True. I do think pictures of kids posted by anyone should be (self) limited. I heard some news show years ago about how kids can't give permission and even things parents think are funny or cute, may not be seen that way by the kids later, or even currently. I stopped posting about my kids and actually got off Facebook altogether. I wouldn't want anyone posting my picture anywhere.

I stopped posting about my kids and actually got off Facebook altogether. I wouldn't want anyone posting my picture anywhere. We had a case here some years ago: Parents had an FB account and proudly posted pictures of their daughter. Now the little baby was 14 and asked her father to stop with the pictures and remove them She didn't want anyone to see her naked in a bathtub f.e. The answer of the father was: Not to worry. It's a private account and anyway only friends can see it. (Ok, never mind that you can download the photos and share it was others etc.)... So the daughter went to court. Sadly I don't know, what came out of it and if they had to remove the photos.

Since when is posting pictures of yourself and your family on Instagram an issue?
Isn't the point of Instagram to post pictures of oneself and family? Not to mention, food, sunsets and any other trite photos?
Perhaps, Eug is being careful of showing the wee one's face because he is but a wee one? He hasn't consented to have his face on the internet. Why is it an issue if Eug doesn't show August's face? He's a baby and he looks like a baby? Shouldn't we congratulate her on being careful about how much she exposes her infant to the world? I adore a royal baby, any baby as much as the next person but I'm having trouble processing the cynicism?
Technically, Eugenie is a private citizen and she doesn't have to show us a thing, much less the face of her child, who is also a private citizen.
If she were a working royal, I could see the complaint but she isn't.
I mean, I apologize, but I just don't understand the hate?

She’s a mother. She can share as many pictures on her personal Instagram page as she wants, IMO.
Agreed. That’s the whole point of a personal Instagram I thought. Sharing pictures from your life.

I think my beef (for lack of a better word) is not Eugenie's artsy photos but rather then dozens of articles at a written every time she posts a photo of her family. That's what's get me in the "generating interest" camp. Yes she's well within her rights to share photos but my thing is she has to know that every time she does the press goes nuts. As her IG is public we are all entitled to our opinions on the content...even if people have different opinions from you.
I get that there's likely also a element of keeps August private but if she wants to do that than she should create a private IG for her nearest and dearest to see rather than posting tease photos on her public IG all the time. I just really hate the tease photos. Personally I hate the tease photos regardless of who posts them...my friends, working royals, non-working royals, celebs, strangers doesn't matter I just don't like this new style of photos. Which I why I'm trying to stay away from this thread...not that I always succeed.

It seems she is proud and happy and in love with the little one. Becoming a parent is miraculous I can see that she is floating on cloud 9.

Jack messed with this by insisting on including PR for his liquor company in previous announcements. We are right to be cynical.

I know that it was the company that asked for their name to appear in the birth announcements - not Jack's. Since then the company's name hasn't appeared so I suspect Jack, or someone else from the royal household, told the company that the baby couldn't be used for advertising the company.
