August is a cute little nugget, I hope he gets to meet his great grandparents soon.

Yep, I hope both HM and Phillip get to meet their new little great grandsons in the near future. Pictures would be great too.

How cute would it be if they were able to do a photo for Philip’s 100th of him holding both his namesakes?

Star for you! I can't begin to say how much I'd love this even though I don't really think it would happen.

actually a photo of Philip with Eugenie and Zara and the babes would be lovely not just for us but for August and Lucas as they grow, they will have little overlap on earth with their great grandfather but would be good to know they "met him" .  In 2060 one will say - he is me with my great grandfather, he was born 140 years ago and grew up with many of the Royal families of Europe.

I suspect such a photo will be taken, if it hasn't already, but I doubt it would be made public.

So sad that this can never happen.

Eugenie posted three new photos celebrating Jack's birthday. You can see a peek of August's face in one of them.

Princess Eugenie Shares New Photos of Baby August for 'Exceptional' Jack Brooksbank's Birthday

https://people.com/royals...jack-brooksbank-birthday/

Lovely pictures of Jack with Gussie, but no new ones of the little guy's face. But then, it is Jack who is the focus.

Happy, Joyous Birthday to Jack!
My favorite event is when Jack watches Princess Eugenie walk down the aisle.

Eugenie and Julia de Boinville in a new video for the Anti Slavery Collective:

https://www.hellomagazine...rstyle-new-video-message/

I wouldn't say its totally new hair style  - she's had a nice cut and shape, is wearing her hair straight instead of in waves, and it appears she's lost her baby weight. She looks just lovely, and very happy and content.  Smiley

Another article speculates on when the baptism for little Gussie will take place, which I would imagine they'll want to do it before HM heads off for Balmoral, unless they wait and christen him there during the summer.

Princess Eugenie made a video appearance on Friday to deliver a touching message, and she appeared to be sporting a sleek new hairstyle.

The royal mum, who gave birth to her first child August in February, appeared in a clip for The Anti-Slavery Collective, the charity she co-founded with her friend Julia de Boinville in 2017.

Speaking from her Windsor home, Eugenie donned a black ensemble and her shoulder-length brunette locks were blowdried into vintage-style waves at the tips.

Julia began by saying: "Hi everyone, today we want to thank you, our followers, for the amazing support you've given us over the last year and beyond. Without you we would be lost, and you spur us on every day to fight for the 40.3 million people who are victims of slavery today."

Eugenie then added: "It was William Wilberforce who said that 'You may choose to look the other way, but you can never say again that you did not know'. This is something we live by at The Anti-Slavery Collective and by following us, you are modern abolitionists, and we couldn't be prouder to have you onboard. So, thank you for everything you do, and we look forward to keep going in this fight."

I am surprised he is not already baptized, I thought it happened normally 2-3 months after the birth. Would they announce it beforehand or at all? I'm not sure.

Well, the family has been a bit busy, don't you think, what with the pandemic, Phillip's hospitalization, death and funeral, not to mention other annoyances. I can see why it has not been done as yet.

There is also the possibility that Jack and Eugenie are waiting until they and all the rest of their respective families are vaccinated.

We've only had pre-announcements of the Cambridge kids christenings, IIRC. The rest we usually hear about afterwards, either announcements or confirmations that the christening has taken place, and who the godparents are.

I'm sure Eugenie will take to instagram and let us know all about it along with pictures. She likes to share her happiness. Grin It would be lovely if it could be in the Royal Chapel of All Saints where Bea's wedding took place.

When Angela Kelly wrote about making the replica of the V&A christening gown I believe she stated she enlarged it a tad, so there should be no problem with the fit.

BTW, Eugenie was born on March 23, but not baptized until December 23, during the Christmas break when everyone was at Sandringham. The christening gown would not button up the back!

She looks great. It's amazing how breastfeeding burns calories. I hope whenever the little one is baptized that he wears the family gown and we get a picture with the beaming family. I am assuming that by now Auggie is Chunky McChubbyCheeks.

That's what I was wondering. Thanks!  Champagne

Oh my goodness, that's funny! I wonder why they waited so long? I'm glad she was still able to wear the gown, even if it didn't button up.

About the only thing we know for sure is that August, as well as Lucas and Beatrice's baby, will wear the newer gown.

Whether it will be allowed across the pond for the baptism of the new baby girl I have no idea. I haven't been able to find out whether Lord Nicholas Windsor's son, who was baptised in the Vatican, wore it. If he did then there is a precedent for the gown leaving the UK. If he didn't then they have an excuse to not send it to the US.

As for why they took so long to baptise Eugenie, if my fading memory is correct, it was because Andrew had to go back to sea. He was given a couple of week's leave for the birth but then sent back to sea and didn't return until Christmas.
