I looked at him and smiled (I knew he was a student at Berkeley) and asked if he was CP Haakon and he said yes..he proceeded to ask me about how the mops worked ...Our conversation, such as it was, was around the cleaning supplies and he thanked me for the advice, got a mop and off we went.
What a charming story, Paulina - thanks for sharing Star

New job for Jack:

https://www.dailymail.co....t-bikini-clad-models.html

Quote
When Princess Eugenie’s husband Jack Brooksbank was spotted on a boat with bikini-clad models in Capri last month — while she looked after their baby at home — her mother, the Duchess of York, leapt to his defence to insist he was ‘just doing his job’.

While that was true — Jack is a brand ambassador for Casamigos tequila, which was sponsoring a charity bash on the Mediterranean island — he is now preparing to take on a more serious role.

I hear the 35-year-old son of top chartered accountant George Brooksbank is to become a director of his father’s business, Pangaea Land And Property Limited.

George, 72, who was gravely ill with Covid last year, quietly stepped down in June. The firm is co-run by William Legge, 10th Earl of Dartmouth, whose grandmother was the romantic novelist Dame Barbara Cartland.

‘Now that his father has retired, it’s time for Jack to take over and to take on a more serious role to support his family,’ says my insider.

I wonder how much accounting experience Jack has or if he’s been trained to run a business from the top level.

Somehow brand ambassador for a tequila company doesn’t neatly dovetail to running high level accounting firm, but who knows?

We have a situation at work where a contractor  just retired and handed the company over to his son, who is promptly running it into the ground.

So I looked up the company and it’s a dormant company so I’m not sure how Jack could be going to work for it.

There’s something fishy going on here

Yes, it does show dormant, but a new director was just appointed in June (Earl of Dartmouth), and it looks like he replaced an accountant - George Brooksbank (Jack’s father?). So maybe they’re gearing up to be more active. Hard to tell.

This is very convenient timing for our frisky brand ambassador.  I hope Jack is willing to be as hands-on in this job as he is in his current responsibilities.

My gut says that DM made it up.  By suddenly having him switch jobs they can sell a narrative that Eugenie was upset or similar.  Jack probably has nothing to do with dad being taken off the listing for a dormant company.

As always I could be wrong.

I agree. The timing seems suspicious.

Jack also has a wholesale alcoholic beverage business, begun in 2016 -

Jack's father was ill with Covid last year, and with the pandemic and lockdowns they could been waiting for conditions to improve for a restart.

We'll do a wait and see hold for now.

Eugenie looks great - like her straightened hair, a bit different than usual for her.

Yes, her hair and her husband are both now on the straight and narrow.

Eugenie mentions the DoE wedding present to her and Jack:

https://www.yahoo.com/ent...ce-philips-011206857.html

Quote
Princess Eugenie is sharing a fond memory of her beloved grandfather, Prince Philip.

The 31-year-old royal opened up about the late Duke of Edinburgh's artistic skills in the BBC One documentary Prince Philip: The Royal Family Remembers, revealing that he gifted her a painting of a bunch of flowers which he painted himself as a wedding present.

I think it was a lovely gift, most likely done for all his grandchildren, from Peter on down.
