Jesus, admittedly I am no fan of the York twits, but just show the baby already! I’m sure they’d argue they were trying to show the whole tree, but it just looks poorly composed. These far away, or from the side, or just random body party baby pictures are obnoxious.

I just love that Jack is wearing August in this last picture.
And it’s possible that they want more pictures of him facing the camera, but babies don’t always do what you want.

She's shared a photo after his birth where you can see his face, one on Mother's Day, one on her birthday and one of the family at Easter both as a family it's all appropriate times. I don't know if they're deliberately playing peekaboo with his face or want attention but appear to be genuinely happy in all of them. The one with the full shot of the amazing tree in full blossom was lovely for Easter. |

I am a cynical old bag, but ... my feeling after viewing all the pics is, if they really were just interested in showing off the adorable new baby, like 99.9 new parents are, they would show AUGUST more, - in casual snaps - not themselves so much. I am a cynical old bag, but ... my feeling after viewing all the pics is, if they really were just interested in showing off the adorable new baby, like 99.9 new parents are, they would show AUGUST more, - in casual snaps - not themselves so much. Just IMO. I’ll admit that I’m leaning that way as well. Even the one photo we saw his full face in was more them than him. If the focus was August that something SRF style would have been a better way to go. I loved the close ups we get promptly after a new baby is born to Sweden. All the public really requires from any royal with a two month old is one release of decent newborn photos. After that there’s an understanding that the family deserves privacy. |
