Her mother also has breast cancer. We have no idea if Eugenie got tested for the gene and if she has it, might have optioned for a double mastectomy.
Or maybe she’s just done breastfeeding. Or wearing a new bra.

ANDREW DENTON: Yes. What did... When you first met, what did you see in each other? CROWN PRINCE FREDERIK: What did we see in each other? We saw... Well, it's a bit hard. It's a bit blurry, in a way, because it was just after the Olympics had started and it was one of those evenings where...

I just assumed he was still working and couldn't get the time to fly back from Portugal for it. The wedding was on a Friday.

It is a bit weird, though, because it was THE social upper class event in GB for the year and he would have met a lot of interesting people and could have done some networking. But well ...

Using a wedding for commercial networking? That is so déclassé! In any case, he for sure already knows them all other than the bride’s rellos.

Nope, obviously not for business deals but this is a "see people and be seen" event, his wife attended, so it is a bit unusual that he did not go with her, especially because they are in Portugal and are not bumping into the British upper class by accident at smaller social events.

I really wish Bea would gift Genie with her stylist's services for a year or so. While Bea has more resources it would still do Genie a world of good. I think part of the trouble lies in the fact that Genie may still take Fergie shopping with her. Both girls were hit and miss for years. Bea is far better in that regard now that she has a stylist. That olive dress wasn't quite suitable IMHO, for this wedding, but at least she matched her hat, bag and I do like her shoes. I am assuming the other dress was for the evening reception. I like the dress but I'd like to see it on her.

It doesn't matter how old you get, buying snacks for a road trip should always look like an unsupervised 9-year-old was given $100. Anonymous

Yeah I get that to, its a great opportunity but he can't be everywhere all the time. If he had meetings etc cancelling them all to attend one wedding is a bit much. I can't see many of the guests at the wedding needing to buy a property in a residential community - albeit a high end one. Many probably either can't afford it (old money meaning asset rich cash poor) or have their own heritage properties (like the Westminster's who own thousands of acres in Spain and a vineyard in Italy)

What an insult! 😖

I think we have a cultural misunderstanding! 😹 Americans are still reputed to be very “forward” and unabashed, while the understated Brits keep their (intense) networking to “at birth” and “via school”… 😺
