I love SeenNot and my creation HeirNot for the Cambridge babies. The Nots are hilarious.

i actually have a question about the nicknames, where did clairol (i think that's how those who have used it have spelled it) and wisteria sisters derive from?

Lazy and Pippa were called the "wistaria sisters" years ago because, like the flower, they "were fragrant and had a ferocious ability to climb"
Clairol is a huge hair-coloring company in the U.S.; not sure who started calling Ma Chiavelli that.

PruNordstrom is the first to use Clairol for Ma on RD. Let's ask her why   Smiley

Clairol is a brand of hair-coloring in the US as EAH has stated.
I noted with fascination how Willnot's MIL's hair changes color.
In photos it looks to me like a home hair-coloring attempt --
color too flat or brassy, flyaway hair. Not so good.
A GF sent an excerpt to me from some comments on Celebitchy
in which the MIL was referred to as Clairol. When I read it I choked
on my coffee laughing cuz it seemed a good moniker.

So...I've imported it into this board.
Now you know.

I must admit I particularly enjoy the HeirNot nickname.
Clever. The challenge will be naming #3, if there is one.

When Mary is called an "Icon" does that come from one of her forum flunkies or the press? I've seen her called an "icon of motherhood" in a real newspaper article but it must be used a lot for it to be such a prevalent nickname on here.

How did PW get the name "Bill the plumber "?

ummm since I gave him that name.. Angel

lemme explain...

I call him that because he is an ordinary suburban middle-low class Brit who does an honest day work 365 a year and has a missus who  is from the same class as him and they are very ordinary and live East ender's kinda lives. and of course willaim works in a very ordinary job as a plumber to support his ordinary missus who does her best to look like his ma. william's mother died you know...so I called kate IAMDiana as she is now diana incarnate Crap  Dead

Hello all,

I know this is not the right topic for this question but I can't reply to any other relevant topics. I signed up a few years ago, and became an anonymous lurker again. But I have to royally vent now!  Yes But it's not working. I can't open topics or post replies. Could someone please tag Maria for me? Hopefully she can help me. Sorry for this message.

To add; I can reply to Danish Royal Children and Bulgaria, but not to any of the British topics. And I need so badly. I must... (sorry again!)
