That's interesting indeed - perhaps they're going to stay overnight in Guimar?es: I think that President Marcelo instead of hosting the foreign guests only in Lisbon, is trying to promote other cities - so perhaps the official arrival is going to happen in Oporto and then they're going to Guimar?es and end their visit in Lisbon.

"O com?rcio de Guimar?es" is reporting that F&L are going to be in Guimar?es on November 28th  so perhaps it's not F&L that are going to stay there.

Now all the Spanish gossip press can shut up about Leo not making enough appearances.  Jumping

The Moroccan press is speculating with a state visit from F&L in March. I was expecting something soon since a visit was cancelled during the acting government period and Morocco is the only neighbour left without State Visit.

January 14-16
King felipe will travel to Saudi Arabia for an official visit. This is the trip he had to postpone due to the death of a Saudi Prince back in November.

I don't think they'll be able to pay the postponed visits before going to Morocco. South Korea is in the middle of a presidential crisis with the president impeached, so there's no way this state visit is taking place soon. A visit to the UK in the next two months would have already been announced, and according to a media outlet (not very reliable Wink ), the state visit to Japan is also up in the air due the Emperor's possible abdication.

Last week in "Audiencia Abierta", they talked about the visits to Morocco, South Korea and Japan (with the emperor issue, Clara pointed).
Also F&L are going to receive Hollande, german President Gauck, President Mauricio Macri by occasion of the ARCO Fair in february and also the new UN General Secretary, Ant?nio Guterres  Smiley The new ambassador of Israel also talked about a future visit of the president to Spain Thumb up

Sadly for us only Macri's visit is a state visit. The president of Israel was supposed to visit in 2016, but the lack of government upset those plans. He (and Brazil's Temer) has also invited F&L for a state visit. But all the visits to and from Israel are postponed after the UN security council passed the resolution on the Israeli settlements (Spain was the chairman of the security council at the time). There were no firm plans in place for the visits and the Israeli government has cancelled all outgoing or incoming visits from the countries that voted on the resolution.
