And I had thought...this IS her daughter´s style. Ok, Victoria isn´t into asymmetric cuts (the same for Maddelun), but the fabric, colour and the skirt, that all looks, as if it would come out of Lasse Wallin´s talent-free tailoring.
Well, but of course it makes Silvia not unattractive looking...for her age...and one has to give her kudos for being more than 30 years on diet. Before her marriage she seemed to have had chubby phases as well.

I am undecided about this kind of event. This mingling with the german high society...these kind of charity parties, that cost a lot of money...IMO it´s so unregal. Yes, means money for good causes...but IMO one also must be allowed to discuss it apart from this.
Just imagine an 63 year old Mary, mingling with 6X years old Kylie Minogue at an charity event in Oz...and that at least once a year  The number of duties, that Silvia is performing in Sweden and that are really related to Sweden got less and less with the years...

Queen Silvia was so beautiful as a young woman. There's some footage of her wedding (in the cameo tiara!) and at the Munich Olympics on YouTube. She still looks great. Isn't it a funny coincidence that Frederick and Mary met at the Olympics as well?
