A couple of months ago I watched "The Queen's Guards" (1961) on YouTube:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmObwpCUNhE

- Grenadier Guards Captain John Fellowes prepares for the Trooping the Colour ceremony and reminisces about his years at Sandhurst Military Academy as well as his family's dramatic life.

https://en.wikipedia.org/...e_Queen%27s_Guards_(film)

I found it a very interesting and touching film.

There's going to be a Norwegian-produced, Norwegian/English language 8-part TV series about Crown Princess Martha's stay at the White House during WWII.

How have I never heard that before?? Fascinating! I wish it listed an expected release date.

A little off topic, perhaps, but I have been so amused by the Hallmark series of Christmas films, many of which involve a U.S. working girl who somehow manages to snare a crown prince from some sort of Ruritanian kingdom. I think there were at least half a dozen aired this year. There's always a castle in the snow and a grand ball at which the American girl appears and suddenly sweeps the prince off his feet.  I guess that fantasy dies hard.
