The really sad thing is that the sugars almost got it right: While not precisely "everybody" does it, there are far too many who consider 0.7 under the limit and as that perfectly ok to drive. 100mph is indeed 170 kmh and as such a high but not uncommon speed on eg german Autobahns.
We really need to get away from the ridiculous notion, that speeding is "sportif", fun and shows muscles (hey you sit in a high powered Beemer or Mercedes or even Porsche, you are automatically attractive and own the road). Far too many accidents happen due to excessive speeding. Far too many people get injured or killed and also far too many people get inconvenienced by the resulting miles long traffic jam and hold ups. What's most unfair is that quite often the aggressor, the perpetrator who might cause another car to crash or run of the road drives off and appears to be ignorant of the havoc he just created. Public opinion on drunk driving or driving after alcohol consumption is torn as well, while we all agree on how bad it is to drink and drive, a lot of people seem to consider a couple of beer or glasses of wine nothing more than "something to drink with your meal". And few people realize how impaired they really are, after even a little alcohol.
So nighttime (and boy, what an impairment is being tired!!), having had alcohol and driving much much too fast for the road and the speed limits shows how seriously her judgement was impaired, how little she was/is able to follow rules set up so that everybody else will be safe as well. How little she cared. That attitude imo is the most scary part. The recklessness and carelessness. The believe that she was above the rules and law....

Isn't 0.7 under the limit in Germany? I was surprised 0.7 was not under the limit in the US, in Spain the highest limit(not for everybody, it can be lower) is 0.5

Germany has a limit of 0.5 in blood tests. If you are involved in an accident you will get a contributory fault already at 0.3. Police will have you do the quick test with a breathalyser, which measures in mg (instead of per mille) and will get you to the station if that test shows any sign of alcohol in your breath. At the station a physician will perform a blood diagnosis. You are free to refuse the breathalyser, which will only get you to the station faster. You are considered to be unable to drive at all at 1.1 at which point the punishment will start getting really nasty.

Thank you for the links, pixiecat! That's definitely Nik. You're welcome, Flamingo! I never really had much of an opinion about Nik until I saw that video. I realized what a douchebag he really was. He just seemed so arrogant and ridiculous in that interview. He buys his own newspaper?! Wow. He deserves a gold medal for that amazing feat He was such a joke in that video, especially because he acted so arrogant, yet he isn't actually the prince of anything, so he just seemed like a tool with his "can't be photographed handling money or smoking" bs.

ITA. How ever does he manage? It's truly amazing An eight year old could easily buy their own paper, yet this fool acts like he should be praised for doing something that takes virtually no skill. More evidence of his stupidity IMO.

I adored the contradiction of Greece's "intensely private prince" giving an "all access" interview to 20/20. And every time the voice over used the word "common/er", they invariably showed a photo of "our Meary", pre-makeover

OMG I just read the comments on Lala-Land: Someone with morals: People like her, make me really, really angry. Who cares, that there could be victims? And what makes more angry is, that she doesnīt get the punishment she deserves. An ordinary guy or girl couldnīt escape from that.Asshamster: And who are you to decide who deserves what? I know this topic is probably nearly forgotten and everyone has moved on, but I've just read about this and went over to TRF/ Sugarboards. I cannot BELIEVE the amount of bulls**t people posted! Like not caring that people could have died because theodora did something stupid because no one actually got hurt so you can't possibly imagine how you would react if someone did. Or really believing that she wasn't drunk because her BAC was under .08...by .01%....REALLY?!?! She's obviously got something in her!! *$##%*%$!!!!! It's amazing how incredibly idiotic a lot of those people are. I specifically came over here in hopes of some common sense. whoo! what a relief!! I'm sorry, i just really had to vent after reading what some of those people had to write. I wish I could meet them, I feel like they would truly be some of the dumbest people I'd have ever met.

The sugars posted a new "excuse" for Teddy today. Apparently, they told the Greek papers she was speeding because she was late to an audition. She had a .07 blood alcohol level going to an audition? Real professional, darling. You were so "late" you had to drive OVER 100 MPH on a dangerous freeway and put others at risk? Umh, no. BTW, What kind of audition was this so late in the evening?

Seriously? She was going to an "audition"? OMFngG. They get crazier and crazier every day on that site. First of all, what was she auditioning for in a small town that has no film industry? A local used car dealership commercial? That's pretty much the only thing that they'd be filming over there. Secondly, why would she show up tipsy for an audition? Method acting? Again-what could she possibly have been auditioning for in that town? Even if-and I'll take a huge leap of faith and say that maybe the project was being filmed there, but the audition would not have taken place on location. It would have taken place in LA, which is about 7 hours away from where she got busted for speeding. Third-what kind of audition would be held in a small town with no film industry late at night? Wow....these people are really amazing with their stupidity. Thanks for the laugh Mr.Plowfan!
