We were in London over the summer and got to see the stunning tiaras at KP. Wished I could try one on. I loved the emerald one best.

From the KP website it looks like they will be exhibited through 6 January 2019. Before I went, I knew in the back of my mind that the tiaras were on display, but on the day I had forgotten. It was a very nice surprise to walk into the room and see them sparkling there!

I forgot to mention the designer for the diamond and pearl one - Koch.

And it's a kokoshnik style so it was probably designed for Imperial Russian ladies or Eastern European royals.

I’ll be in London for ten sweet days, staying in Kensington and am drooling over this collection.  Thanks so much for posting this!

So after some thought, I have a bit of a tiara “theory”......

Each of the new generation of brides has worn a different, rarely seen, never worn by the Queen tiara, as their “something borrowed”.

I am wondering if this is setting things up for each to be bequeathed their chosen tiara? What better way to find out which one they like than opening the vaults to choose?

Admittedly Kate has never worn the Halo again, but she will also have far more access to the vaults in the coming years.

Also, if they’re gifted before she passes, they would avoid tax on them?

Gorgeous tiara!

I'm not so sure about that tbh. They are always quite keen to keep things in the "main line" and in ownership of the head of the family, esp as many of these things tend to end up in auction a generation or so later (usually due to death tax/ money problems).

Then there's the question which tiara belongs to Liz et al as person and which belong to the crown/ the people (eg Vic bequeathed quite a lot to the crown, so no person owns it, but the crown and if a republic were to happen then ownership would shift to the state/ government/ people).

In theory gifts like these also usually cost tax. There were some articles back when Will & Kate announced their engagement that Will should pay tax like any other citizen would have for the ring - the ring "changed ownership", so tax is due (same with when you're gifted property etc...). There's a tax for everything....

While I was hoping for the Strathmore Rose Tiara, this gorgeous kokoshnik tiara is a killer. What absolutely magnificent emeralds. This makes Slitzerella of Sweden's emerald tiara look like it came out of a gum-ball machine!

Champagne I think this tiara is absolutely stunning. It really looks fabulous on Eugenie.
