Wondering how the 1st one should be worn….. Thinking

I was thinking the same thing! It is beautiful but I have no idea how you would wear it. Would love to see it on someone!

There is another photo out there showing it's frame at the bottom. I just thought the drop pattern was interesting. I have a zillion tiaras and diamond necklaces on my pinterest board, which I use as inspiration for crystal-ing skating dresses, etc. Here is one very similar https://fawnvelveteen.tum...tiara-joseph-chaumet-1900

How about flowers?

The 10 Most Fabulous Royal Sapphire Tiaras of All Time (2015)

https://www.thenaturalsap...pphire-tiaras-of-all-time

They list Marie Feodorovna's sapphire and diamond bandeau, I've been wondering if this one might go to Beatrice for her wedding. I like that we've seen some oldies but goodies from the vaults and hope the trend continues.

Beatrice might also wear her mother's tiara. Setting aside Pss Eugenie's wedding, we have never seen her in a tiara, same goes for Pss Beatrice. I do hope we get to see some other oldie, there is yet another tiara from the Greville bequest that was allegedly used once by Pss Anne, a meander one. Then, you have Q. Mary's lozenge bandeau. The Strathmore rose tiara, and others. We see in due time.

I never knew there was a Meander tiara in the Greville collection:

Sarah's tiara:

All in all, I'd rather Bea showcase something stunning from the vault.

I'm pitching for the Strathmore Rose tiara. It's a nice nod to York, without Sarah's baggage. If she had not been dragged into the Epstein mess, perhaps I would feel differently.

That would be lovely, and we would know for certain it still exists.

It was exhibited at the V and A in 2002, so I'm pretty confident that it's still intact. http://www.thecourtjewell...trathmore-rose-tiara.html

I've read in a places that it's very fragile and wouldn't be able to be worn, but it'd be great to see it. Fergie's tiara doesn't do much for me and there's so much lurking in the BRF vaults that I'd be happy with anything that hasn't been seen in a while.

It's beautiful but far too wide.  Honestly the 20s style would look silly on Bea. I doubt they'd mess with it to make it smaller to be actually worn by royals today,  so why it's not on display permanently, I don't know.

There are 2 frames for the Strathmore Rose tiara. One that is wide, to be worn across the forehead as was popular when the Duke of York and Elizabeth married, and a regular frame to sit atop the head in the more traditional format. As far as it needing repair or fortification, plenty of time to get it done. Pretty sure Garrard or Asprey or whomever would do a bang up job quickly.

How about some bandeaux?

That rumour was out there for quite a long time, if that was the case, I don't think Munn would have been allowed to had it photographed for his book ages ago. Let's not forget HM ordered the GD Vladimir's pearl tiara to be remade for the same reason, it was in bad state. And they have a personal jeweler, the jewels are checked and cared. I don't think it's the case with the Strathmore, it's just HM didn't care for it. Nor did the Queen's Mother either, she had it stored for years and never was used again.

Here's the thing that galls me: THEY HAVE THE MONEY TO RESTORE/STABILIZE IT! So if someone really wants to wear it, they'll dust it off and fix it.
