The thread on the Albanian Royal Family was recently bumped up, which reminded me of the ram's head tiara!  Honestly one of my favorite tiaras!

The ram's head is unusual but it's a really pretty tiara! I like the symbolism and the history of the Albanian royal family detailed there as well - I don't know much about them but Queen Geraldine was beautiful.

I like the white roses on the base of the tiara.

The first tiara worn in public by Queen Silvia of Sweden was the Connaught Diamond Tiara, which she wore at the gala held the night before her wedding.

The Connaught is a great favorite of mine. One forgets how beautiful Silvia was when she became Queen.

For those of you who haven't seen the documentary about the jewellery collection in the SRF there is a lovely bit where Princess Christina talks about how the Connaught tiara was frequently worn by her mother and that the Hagasessorna offered the tiara for Silvia to wear for her first tiara engagement to not only make a gesture to the mother in law she would never meet, but also it was a gesture of acceptance by Hagasessorna towards Silvia.
Princess Christina also chose this tiara for her wedding too.

Lovely bit of history! Thanks, SvenskaSarah.

Very true- she was, and Maddie looks a lot like her (with lighter coloring).  I hope Maddie leaves her face alone though.
