What do you guys think of tiaras with colored stones? I just found out that the Queen of Brunei has a huge tiara made up of colored diamonds. Are those red diamonds??? Because WOW if they are, they are extremely rare!
Being Brunei, I would hazard a guess at yes!
I love a coloured stone tiara, although some are more successful than others. I regularly share my deep love of the Noor-ol-Ain Tiara (that beautiful pink diamond
). I also love the Amethyst Necklace tiara from Sweden, although it does need the right tiara hair behind it! I love anything with a pink stone, and the Chaumet Bowknot Tiara is the sweetest thing! I do love aquamarines too, but find most tiaras with these less than successful.

Coloured tiaras definitely need to work with the rest of the outfit. Mary, for example, doesn’t always get it right with her rubies. The best I have seen is the burgundy velvet she often wears for the New Year gala.
Max has some lovely coloured tiaras at her disposal, and she can get it SO SO right! Her styling for the inauguration was brilliant!
