The first one is a reproduction made by the soviets, I'm glad they didn't sell that tiara or the Emperor's crown, same for the sceptre, sadly, the Bolsheviks were in dire needs of money, it is well known they even sold art from the Hermitage as to fund the state.

I have a thought about the sheaves-of-wheat and laurel-wreath tiaras and that is that they represent a lovely symbolism, but they are actually very difficult to wear. What seems so lovely in a drawing often gets lost against the wearer's hair, or else the structure is so exaggerated that they end up looking cartoonish.

I was all set to love this because lilies of the valley are in my top 5 favorite flowers AND I tend to love most jewelry associated with the Bernadottes but when I clicked on the link...this was just not what I was expecting  No

To me that malachite tiara was so ugly that it hurt my eyes. I could see nothing graceful or elegant about it. Plus with chunks of stone that big, IK bet it weighted a ton. No wonder it's in a museum instead of on some royal's head.
