A quick question to the admins: How many times can 'one'  modify a post?
I modified a post of mine twice (IIRC) - and wanted to do it again but couldn't.
Thanks in advance!

There are no max number of times you can edit your post. But there is a time limit.

You can modify your post within 2 hours of creating it.

If you modify your post within 5 minutes you wont get the "post has been edited la la..." added to your post.

If you need to have a post modified after 2 hours just contact an admin and we'll be happy to do it.

That is what the 2 hours is for. Correcting grammar, spelling etc.

Why would you need 24 hours?

A 24 hour timeframe would enable users to post crap and then delete it before mods see it. That is what happened in the past, and it os why we have the 2 hour limit know.

If you want to change something in your post afterward, just pm a mod, and we'll change it. No problem.  Smiley

Ok, sorry for "bumping"!

But please Tomas, can you stretch the 2 hour limit??
To 2 days?

It is hard being a "non native English speaking" person here..

It takes me an hour to do ett inlägg...

I really hate that you cannot edit or delete your own posts. In almost every other board I've been on it has been possible. It's so easy to write something here and later start wondering whether you should've said it in some other way. And on this forum it seems even doubly so since I'm kinda scared some goons will come here and accuse us all for what we've said.

Have you tried using Google Translator? It's a handy tool.......I just used it to translate your post:It is so often that I misspell English ...: Cool I congratulate you on being bi lingual btw...and with the language difference please don't read this post as anything but an attempt to be helpful and a compliment. I wish the translator had the ability to state what original language something is in....

The reason we have the two hour delay is because there have been posters who wrote the vilest, nasty stuff to each other, and then deleted it afterwards before we could see it.

So the time you now have is just to correct any minor errors you notice after you pressed submit.

Otherwise just contact me or Maria with a link to your post and we will happily edit it for you.

how do you delete posts? I just accidentally made a double post, thinking I clicked modify before I added onto it, and I want to get rid of it.

you can't. You can email Thomas or Maria to ask them to delete it, but we don't have the delete function anymore.
