The Design Concept
is shaped by the uniqueness and duplicity of the element it is named after and with the concept carrying the chemical name for carbon in the periodic table. The C6 is based on usage of pure carbon atoms materialized in multiple forms, with the jewelry composed of carbon in two completely different appearances – namely graphite and diamond. Combining science and aesthetics, the C6 design concept brings the diamond back into a beautiful cradle of its natural element. With its stringent and minimalistic design it is authentic, contemporary and timeless. C6 being both modern and classic is an innovative renewal of the traditional diamond ring.

The Philosophy
The C6 design concept is based on the philosophy of C6 as a symbol of life. Black as coal and clear as light itself. This duplicity and the elements’ duality embody the magic of the elemental cornerstone, C6 of the living world. The design also plays with time, space and being. An evolution from supernova explosions to modern technology. An existential state of mind by the simplicity of C6 and yet complex.

The Element and the Material
The element C6 is the basis for our living world. It is found deep inside our planet, in living creatures, in the air that we breathe, and throughout the universe. Without C6 there would be no life. Created by Supernovas stardust C6 was spread into the universe and formed the planets and life on earth. Graphite and diamonds – the two materials constituting the C6 concept – are allotropes of carbon, pure forms of the same element that differ in structure.

The ring is called "C6" - Elemental Small" from the line Origin.

Call me old-fashioned, but I'm not a fan of the graphite and diamond ring. Too masculine, IMO it doesn't suit her or combine well with her other jewelry.

On the other hand I love the bird with the sapphire "M" and it was very nice to see the lovely sapphire and diamond tiara again so soon.

The graphite rings is not my thing either. But Marie does not goes by what's in and what's trendy. She stated in an interview when asked which jewelry/designer she prefers, she answered that the importance is not on the designer, and how trendy it is, but on the meaning of the jewelry, and on the person who gifts it.

I really like the sentiment of the collection and the clean design, but I agree with you, it would be too masculine for me as well.

Well graphite is a unique material to use in jewelry.  It kind of reminds me of the silicone bands athletes wear when they play their sport.

Oh please - she is just another one who turns up and sprouts nothing comments . . . . her Danish might be better than Mares but other than that they are on the gravy train. The blah about who gifts something and the importance is meaningless. One gets a direct allowance and the other an indirect one.

Well at least the new graphite ring diverts your attention from the ugliest engagement ring in the royal world.  Roll Eyes

Exactly, that's why it doesn't seem to fit in with her other jewelry, it looks cheap to me and very spartan whereas her other jewelry is soft and romantic if that makes sense.

Princess MS, every last royal this forum discusses has been or is on the dole. She's vastly different than Mares, just go back and read through her threads. Her initiatives are more down to earth and she is more involved than Madame ever could be because Marie is a warm person where Mary is not.

Daisy, Joachim & Marie participated in the opening of the exhibition "Adventure Queen" at the Amalienborg Museum.

I really love the earrings Marie wore to the charity gala on Saturday! I haven't seen any identification yet but I really hope we'll learn more about them eventually!
