Would make a love starter tiara for Athena should she attend tiara events when she's older  " |

I thought so too, in the beginning, edit. But then this is typically her, she doens't show off, necessarily, for her it's enough to know that the Amethysts are there. To me the tiara would look nicer if the Amethysts were facettet in a different shape, and not just strung Amethyst beads as a bottom row. Also the lily's should stand up more straight to give it a more substantial presence (like pictued below)....but then it seems she likes it looking that way. She should also wear the earings that go with it. And it should be on a frame, to lift it up. The tiara was presented to princess Mary on 28 August 2011. So in 7 years she wore it once, I wish she would wear it more often. And that they would add another Lily for Athena. In collaboration with HRH Princess Marie and the Flora Danica designer Anja Blinkenberg, they created a fantastic tiara which tells the beautiful love story between HRH Princess Marie and HRH Prince Joachim in an elegant and simple design. The tiara is created in silver and consists of three naturalistic lilies, symbolizing the Princess, her husband and their son. Beautiful small silver threads spring from the each of the lilies centre and end up as glittering stamens decorated with small diamonds. As a special personal greeting to HRH Princess Marie and using her favourite stone Amethyst, Flora Danica have delicately placed 25 beautiful amethyst balls amongst the diamonds.       |

AFAIK She only wore it once in March 2014 Oh, I also didn't notice the amethysts at the bottom! They totally get lost against Marie's dark hair  I was wondering why the hairdresser didn't cover the base of the tiara better but turns out they wanted to show off the amethysts at the base. I think this kind of tiara needs different, more romantic hairstyle to work. |

You’re right, if the front of her hair making that “poof” near her part wasn’t there, we could see the amethysts more clearly.
