Daisy is now having an exhibition with all her private jewels, maybe she should start realising she is 80 and only has one neck and two ears and lend some more things to her DILs. Then one would not have to go bananas on the Bruun Rassmunsens auction where everyone gets to know the prize, and the other one dont have to buy hvelplund earrings that costs 120.000 dkr and looks like custom jewellery😌  Also both the palmette tiara and the smal daisy one with turqouises she uses seldom and she could lend to Marie instead of those rather unfortunate new tiaras Marie has had made and that looks like advertisement for jewellery firms, one not even danish.

Marie at least got a decent white diamond tiara for life presumably.... Mary can wear the ruby one but otherwise it is cheap and nasty options... the one she bought is a starter for a daughter

Marie has no official income unlike Mary so mo doubt her shopping budget is significantly smaller than Mary’s.

She has such a winning smile. Beautiful earrings. I thought they were opal at first. Anyway, I love blue stones--aquamarine, lapis lazuli, opal, turquoise.

She has Cartier, Rolex and Boucheron watches. None of those brands come cheap.

yup, and 3 of those watches she had before she married Joachim. Marie comes from a rather affluent and connected family compared to her SIL. After Marie married Joachim she had to depend on Joachim's apanage, rather than being assigned her own income.

Mary, on the other hand, is paid by the Danish taxpayers, has her own budget (10% of Fred's apanage), and bought almost all of her bling after her marriage into the DRF!

Pretty earrings!

I thought the pendant looked like the one given to Margarethe.  I wonder whether she gave that to Marie (and possibly one to Mary, can’t forget her, they do all share the same initial).  Anyone know the story behind Marie’s necklace?

Thanks to PrincessofEurope at the main sugarboards  Grin

The Dagmar Floral tiara is listed as 'Property of Princess Marie'  Jumping
meaning it's not a loan from Queen Margrethe anymore but has been gifted to her !

That's nice. Then Mary can't get her claws on it and likely Athena will wear it if she gets married. It's a truly lovely tiara and suits Marie's dark hair. I get the feeling that Marge can see the end for herself and perhaps her dynasty. That would make all this recent PR make sense. She is the one who they will remember and Fred will be the one who loses it all. Marge is not dumb. Proud but not dumb.
