Indeed. When she arrived in front of the church, a sudden gust of wind lifted up her veil and nearly take the tiara off of her head. Marie just said 'Whoa, whoa...' and then gently asked the bridesmaid to help her. She also graciously thanked her again when her bouquet was handed back to her before exiting the church.

Compared to Mary who snapped at least twice at her bridesmaids, Marie was a class act.

IIRC, that particular bridesmaid was a last minute addition.  I think someone else was supposed to be her bridesmaid, and she fell ill at the last minute.  Does anybody else remember this?

Such a shame that video wasn't broadcast in its entirety with the reception.  I suspect it was a warm and lovely reception.

Marie's little niece Saskia was supposed to be her bridesmaid but fell ill so Agnete Arno stepped in.

no, unfortunately not.

We don't know if they belong to her, of if she borrowed them, they were described as Diamond Lace Earings form Genčve

Thank you for posting those Peeds.  Star

I would love to know what she really thought when she first saw that engagement ring.

It’s not my personal taste but I can’t really imagine that Joachim would choose a ring that Marie wouldn’t like. He seems to be the kind of man who’d make sure to choose the kind of ring his woman would like.

Marie said in multiple interviews, when attending her patronages (jewelry show) and being asked what the best piece of jewelry would be, that it really doesn't matter what jewelry it is, what matters is the person who gives it.

And Joachim went beyond to make sure she had a reminder of home in her newly adopted country, the oval stones seem to be excellent quality and rather big, and they are set after the French Tricolour.

Yes it is a big mistake design wise-don't like the band at all. i have seen some tri colour rings that look good but at least in this photo the stones look too light. A deeper colour might be better
