Today is Marie & Joachim's 3 year wedding anniversary. I hope we get some pics of them

Today, three, nine and 76 years ago that three prominent royal couple said yes to each other.

24 May is the most popular wedding date in the royal circles. Three couples have said yes to each other on this day:

 On 24 May 1935 - for 76 years ago - was the then Princess Ingrid, in Stockholm said yes to the Danish Crown Prince Frederik. The pair became known as Danish royal couple and they are now buried side by side at Roskilde Cathedral.

 On 24 May 2002 married Norway's Princess Märtha Louise with the charismatic and controversial writer Ari Behn. Märtha Louise recant on that occasion right apanage and today earns her own money. The couple will celebrate nine-wedding anniversary.

 On 24 May 2008 - three years ago - formed Møgeltønder church setting for the wedding between Prince Joachim and Princess Marie. The wedding marked the beginning of Prince Joachim's second marriage after her divorce from current Countess Alexandra.

When they married I was not a fan of Marie or Joachim but they have grown on me over the years and are now one of my favorite royal couples. Marie is lovely addition to the RF.

I didn't think much of Marie when they were engaged, but she's impressed me as the years have gone by.  She's adapted to Danish royal life perfectly and she doesn't seem to have completely changed everything about herself in order to be a royal

I by far prefer the "girl next door" (or reasonably close to it) to the "trying to look like an effortless, label adorned fashion plate" look.

It's nice to see someone who looks looks comfortable in her own skin, versus someone who constantly looks as though she is acting out a role (and very poorly at that).

Yes but royals normally dont kiss right after the vows. Fred and Mary kissed when leaving the church I think and not after the vows. The same did Kate and William. Probably also the rest EU royals. The reason why Marie and Joachim did it might be because it was not an official wedding like Frederiks or like his first one with Alexandra?
Im not sure about all this but thats what it seems like. Just a guess.
Maybe someone is more of an expert on this particular topic?

As far as I remember, it was considered a private affair. I remember articles calling him arrogant for not sharing more of the celebration with "the people" because the party and everything after the ceremony was not broadcast. So that could be the difference, but I am far from an expert.
