i think in cold weather it's easier to look haggard, no matter how old we are. i have pictures to prove it!!!

i don't think kate looks in top condition, but i think it is normal not to look photoshopped once in a while.hey,it's life, nobody is always glossy after all.

and i also think that her life must be harder than mine, because i would feel very trapped if i (like kate) could not even go out for a quick run to the nearest cigarette seller without asking permission to Her Majesty and got the approval of the MI5,MI6,007 & so on.

so i really guess the far far away mustique must be one of the few places where the burden of her extreme privilege can be lifted for a while and she can live a more relaxed life again, like mary and her children in oz.

Why should she have to ask HM's or her RPO's permission to leave the house?  Blink She can do what she wants and she isn't seen for months because you can get lost at estates as big as Sandringham or Balmoral. HM and the rest of the RF can drive around Sandringham and pop in some shops with the kids and grandkids buying some sweets and no one bats an eye because it has been this way for ages. I think Kate can move quite freely in the villages around Anmer because they are used to royals. The only pics we get from Kate is when she goes shopping/dining in London in parts of the town known as tourists spots and/or were paps are roaming the streets. Just like Mustique is known for vacationing celebs/royals/rich people and still Kate is there every year even when she had "HG" although every time pics of her and/or Will emerge afterwards. IMO the only time Kate looks like the privileges are a burden to her is when she has to work to shut up the critics.

Here's the part I don't get.  The health nut who wants to be super thin, eats (and wants to sell) organic, exercise maniac AND. SHE. SMOKES.

What about the adverse issues with smoking.  Does she not care about secondhand smoke and her kids.  But then again, she's probably doesn't smoke near them or she's just not as hands on as she claims (which is what most of us believe any way.)

Scary.  William and Kate are both aging very badly.

is there any proof that she smokes, muchless that she's smoking at present?  I haven't seen anything to suggest that.
Proof? I don't think so. But given her skeletal frame (achieved by substituting cigs for food?) and her horrible skin, it's a reasonable assumption from reasonable people.

I would add that if a person has a need for an anti-anxiety or anti-depressant drug, then they are also stressed, anxious, depressed (obviously), and all of those things/emotions/conditions can also take a negative toll on your body because of all of the different hormones and chemicals that get released which can really do a number on your body.

I actually am not sure if I believe she has any MH issues because I think it would be "secretly" leaked so as to provide some buffer or allowance for her to hide away and not do any engagements. It would also make her more like SWMNBN (having a mental health disorder) and I think Willnot would capitalize on this..."SEE?! My poor wifey is being driven to an early grave by the mean gray men and the papps and working and living in palaces and the queen...just like mummy. I need more secrecy and total privacy!"

I think it's a combo of bad genes, poor nutrition (I'll bet that she eats a very low fat diet, which I think contributes to her haggard appearance), over exercising and being extremely underweight, a history of smoking (even if she doesn't do it currently...although I think she still does), and excessive tanning. I also think the fact that she doesn't have real passion or drive in her life (except getting big blue) is taking a toll. She has aged so dramatically in the past 5 years, it's crazy (IMO). I feel like people who have interesting things going on in their lives or have things that they love to do (work, hobbies, good friends and healthy relationships) look more vibrant and alive, even if they don't look particularly "young" ...Waity, on the other hand...old old old!!

I just love how the newspapers publish these articles next to another shocking headline. You can see her looking like some bad news just exploded in her face and a few lines above you read about drugs! LOL They must be doing this on purpose! On the same page top, why do women busts get bigger with middle age? That is not related to Kate, right?!  Laughing

I am with Ortensia:
I actually think she doesn't look that bad. Zoom in on any other person on that street and they probably look pretty much the same.
It is just that we have been fed this nonsense of how great a beauty this princess is, how lovely and perfect.
And how on the other side we know that while we juggle jobs, family and a social life with major responsibilities like bills and duties, she has been given a free pass on most things that normally keeps people worried or up at night.
So why doesn't she look fresh as a daisy?
IMO because it is not the amount of work that you do, or the amount of money/status etc you receive, it is the actual satisfaction that you feel with what you do, how you live and what you receive. And in that department, IMO Kate has descovered she is getting the wrong pay.
BTW, she could just be under the weather, flu-bugs, monthlies etc can run you down as well.
But I think she is simply not really happy. And she is in a corner, the media telling her she is the bees knees, her mom prob. tells her to shut up and suck William, William likely tells her the same and she never made any girl friends that catch her.

These pictures of Kate are probably the first natural ones (non photoshopped, I mean) that we have seen in a long time. Hence the shock. She does look older than her age, she is probably stressed and unhappy because official life is clearly NOT her cup of tea. That's why she tries to do as little as possible. It's not only about being lazy, it's about the pressure of official life imo... The kind of work she has to do, which clearly bore her out of her mind AND scares her too... When HM is gone (which I hope will happen as late as possibile) she and W will have to up their game as Princes of Wales and the number of engagements and official functions will increase. Kate is clearly not up for that: she isn't a natural like Maxima, or a professional like Letizia; she doesn't have an ounce of charisma and/or work ethics. Kate is destined to struggle in her future roles of PoW and Queen. She is not cut out for an official person, she should have married an aristocratic or a celebrity, she would have been happier by being a pretend stay-at-home mum (surrounded by an armada of help) and a WAG.

Being prescribed Xanxax or benzos does not equate having a severe mental health problem. That drug has become a bit of a joke as far as I am concerned with wealthier women who are slightly stressed get the prescription and they consider a  fun night to include their Xanax and wine. It's even part of pop culture at this point thanks to piles of human trash like Brandi Glanville. Every show on Bravo at this point has at least woman demanding her Xanax and wine, making Xanax o'clock jokes, or using Xanax as an excuse for bad behavior. Five seconds with her doctor saying specie a little stressed and bam she would have prescription. I don't think she has anything resembling a true mental health problem. Like not even a little one. Sort of like how that same social sets uses adderall of label too. The drugs have real purpose for some but their misuse is pretty widespread at this point.

That is very true!! I am training to be a therapist so I guess I was thinking of people with real MH issues - severe or mild - who need anxiolytics or anti-depressants. But, yes, that is totally true that some people take them who don't clinically need them. I guess I was trying to say that I could attribute someone looking more haggard than they previously did to simply suffering from anxiety and/or depression because those conditions can take a toll on one's body (not that this is Waity, necessarily).

She has been photographed with cigarettes in her bag and smoking at airports, dwi. Is that not proof enough?

She was defintley seen smoking as recently as the Marseille airport back in 2012. Oddly enough this ranks up with hair extensions on things she is sensitive about. Being caught topless is no biggie but the smoking is.
