He only approved of women as thin as a swizzle stick. Now that he's gone, perhaps Caroline can eat a slice of cake.
That's right. Androgynous young girls, ephebes.A bit too eccentric in the end.

A magazine  says she has had something done to her face. Either that or good make-up and lighting. She looks fine.

To be fair - she always looks good. She is one of these women who can wear a rubbish bag instead of a dress and still look stylish.

A beauty. She is said to be proud and haughty, but that doesn't show in pictures.

I think she was too tempted by her intelligence, social rank and beauty when she was Young. She was basically forced down lanes (e.g. being royal, representing, ...) she would not have taken if she had had a choice. And she had the Grimaldi curse of picking the wrong Partners. I think she is very intellectual (this is also why she clicked so well with Lagerfeld). If she had not been royal she might have ended up being a scientist ....

True, and maybe she doesn’t suffer fools gladly, which if you’re born royal you are probably subjected to on a daily basis.

To me Caroline needed a long time to accept that though being the first born, Albert was the heir and subsequent Prince of Monaco and not she and her lineage.

I think she's accepted it by now (well had to). Though I still find it very telling that Albert and especially Charlene seem to get much better along with Stephanie and her children than with Caroline's side.

I think Albert has always been a very good brother given his sisters' life choices and circumstances, and I also feel he has been  a dearly beloved and devoted uncle. I cannot ignore his own children out of wedlock, obviously  unfairly treated and left out of the princely family, but I'd say he has been close and  taken care of them properly.

And as far as we know Albert has had a good relationship with his children with partners he wasn’t married to. It’s just been mainly out of the cameras eye until they come of age ( like Jasmine)
In this day and age he’d probably rather not have people ask why Jasmine isn’t the heir,  since she’s the oldest and confuse the issue with people who aren’t royal watchers

Albert and Stephanie were said to have always clicked in a way that wasn't true of either of them with Caroline. I think there is a lot of love and respect among all three but Caroline is a typical oldest kid in some ways very autonomous and independent and intelligent not suffering fools. Albert and Stephanie seem more accessible as people without a wall up. Those differences can even be seen in their education Grace sent Caroline to England and the youngest to the US for summer camp and of course Albert went to Amherst. So Caroline was pushed into a princess route that wasn't going to work for Stephanie remember Caroline was very marketable so to speak for royal or aristocratic marriage. Even Grace understood that Stephanie was always going to go her own way.

Well, he forcefully denied paternity with Jasmine. The child’s mother basically dragged her as a toddler to an event Albert was attending and shoved Jasmine in his face and shouted “here is your daughter!” He finally had to take a paternity test, establish child support and acknowledge that she was his child. It seems like the two have made peace with a difficult beginning and have established some kind of relationship. My heart still breaks for her, and his other son, to be always a bit in the shadows.

I think that is so true. Caroline seems like the bossy older sister, even to this day. I can picture Steph and Albert complaining to each other about something or other Caroline said or did, maybe with a laugh and an eye role.

Caroline has always seemed welcoming to her daughters-in-law and Charlotte’s partners, so perhaps in her position as Mama she is more easygoing and less high handed than as a big sister!

Having an affair with your friend's husband is indeed elegant.

Karma dished back though since her husband now openly flaunts other women in public.

Yup.

EA and Caroline had their first fling in 1995 and were caught in Bangkok, Thailand. Then in 1996 they were caught kissing in the South of France. One year leater Hotchuli and EA divorced after 15 years of marriage, and another 2 years later EA married Caroline who was two months pregnant with Alexandra. Shortly after Alexandra's birth, EA, who by the way was known as a serious adulterer, took of to Thailand again with a much younger women. So now Caroline, who was once the other woman, was then in the same position that Chantal was when she had proof of the affair of her husband with Caroline.

Karma indeed.

Was it ever really love between EA and Caroline or did she indeed just marry him so that she could be a royal highness?
