It's rather unfortunate that little Alexandra resembles Ernst so much. Sigh.

Albert started balding early, wow.

Probably much of the tension between the sisters is Caroline's resentment that Stephanie was allowed to pretty much do as she pleased while she was tethered to Monaco and the House's needs. It's also gotta be a bitter pill that after all the years Caroline was first lady of her land, along comes the plastic bimbo... and it's likely (assuming the natural course of things) that none of Caroline's children will be on the Monagasque throne... bitter indeed.

since caroline is so into being royal, she of all people should understand the rules in terms of lineage to the top w/ being the one in charge!

if i were a monagues, or whatever they are called, i wouldn't want her kids taking over the helm of monaco.  they are uninspiring and for being so filthy rich, really don't give back much, in the scheme of things.  everything has been handed to them, literally, in a silver spoon.

I think it´s a huge lost, because the Casiraghi children could do much for Monacos reputation.
Andrea for example teached for 8 months children in Senegal, Togo and Niger. He is also involved in AMADE and is the patron of the Motrice Foundation.
If Albert would say that Andrea should be official Prince after him (I believe Caroline would give Andrea the throne) things would be different. But he is obsessed with having an own heir (in his age).

not that i love al & char, but i can understand someone wanting their own children and in this case their own child to be the next ruler.  i think that's only natural.  i don't consider it an obsession, though couples/people can be obsessed w/ having a child.  i really can't fault him on this topic.

Guys, those folks never had a job and are permanently on some sort of vacations. Yes, occasionaly they participate in charities (please, don't tell me they run those for they don't... the title is purely a decoration) and besides an internship (note the lack of serious responsibilities of an intern)  this 27-year old has never had a job. If you were advertising a position in your company and this boy showed up with this kind of resume, would you take him seriously? Consequently I have classified them as useless beings, spending money collected through inheritance or Monaco's earnings (or both) who have zero contact with reality.
I have seen so many kids in my profession who have worked hard through high school and through college, being full time workers and fulll time students at the same time, don't know what vacation means, and in all honesty, these kids are my role models. I have used the idle folks from Monaco as example for avoidance. I have often told my kids "Don't you ever become like these kids from Monaco. Earn your living. Work hard. That's what life is all about."

Jacqueline Kennedy, Grace Kelly and Audry Hepburn were the style idols of my mother's generation, but Princess Caroline of Monaco was definitely mine.

I grabbed everything with her photo and read it, tried to do my makeup like hers(it was not a success  Crap) and just generally fantasized about how great it would be to be the world's most gorgeous young princess living in a palace on the Med.

I hope one day there will be a decent biography of her life in English. She has had huge ups and downs and is straight out of a novel, imo.

But as much as Caroline likes to sue people who write about her, I will not hold my breath.  Cry

Yes. true. But lets not forget that Albert already has two children ( and proberly hundreds of other children as well.) Although they can never be ruler of Monaco. As they were born out of wedlock. They are still Alberts children. I don't get the impression that he is all that interested in the children he already has. And if he does have children with Charlene, I doubt her would more interested in them, than the children he already has. So I don't understand why he now has a sudden obsession with producing more children with Charlene.

I can't believe Albert fires her and then has the gaul to stand there and applaud her professionalism. Also notice it's Caroline once again doing the first lady duties. In fact Caroline has been doing quite a lot of them since Albert got married. Isn't this Charlene's job?

I think the problem with the three Grimaldi children was that Princess Grace was the authoritarian in the household (she herself had a strict upbringing), she laid down the law and the rules at home.

When she died, Rainier was obviously devastated but he was a very indulgent father, not making any demands on his children. And when your children have so much access to wealth and privilege then there is a chance that they will go off the rails.

It wasn't until his finals years that I really thought the family came together, Stephanie seems to have put her wild days behind her, Albert has found a wife and consort and Caroline matured into a capable first lady of Monaco, and still fulfills many duties.

I am sure Rainier's patience and resolve was tested by all three children but he seems to have been a very devoted father, always there for his children when they needed him, although perhaps he was lacking in the discipline that they needed.
