Polignac is the name of her grandfather. And AFAIK just the children of the current reigning Prince of Monaco (or reigning Princess of Monaco) have the title. So Louis, Camille or Pauline won´t inherit the title. Caroline is currently Caroline, Princess of Hanover, Hereditary Princess of Monaco, Countess of Polignac.

Star  merci' (in case trashlene is reading>>>thank you  Wink

totally off topic but not.  does anyone remember a soap opera in the states called "Another World"?  there was a countess Polignac character on there, a real scheming pieces of work (sorry i can't remember the actress, it was 30 years ago LOL) anyhooo i thought that was interesting since trashlene will apparantly be countess polignac and how life imitates art (or soaps in this case)

But the current reigning Prince is Albert, and Caroline and Stéphanie aren't his children (mind, his two children don't carry the title either  ). So were they allowed to keep the title after Rainier died? Will they have to give them up when Charlene pops out the heir and the spare?

I phrased it wrong.  Halo Of course every legitimate child of a Prince gets the title. And they are allowed to keep it after his death. But it´s just inheritable through the Prince. So Charlenes children will get it, but not Carolines or Stephanies. Hope it´s not confusing again.
