There are rumours that Charlotte Casiraghi-Rassam is expecting her third child, hoping it is a girl this time. it has not been officially confirmed, but as I remember she never made an official confirmation.

I hope for her it is true and a little girl would be welcome to complete the family.

I wish I understood... and this isn't directed at anyone here, or even Charlotte Casiraghi, whose feelings I certainly don't know - but why should having a girl or a boy be so important to some people?  To have a healthy baby is, all by itself, such a miracle. 

In full disclosure, I myself was rather anxious to have a boy the first time, and happily I did - but it was because I came from a family of 6 girls and having a boy just seemed so *nice* after growing up around all that - estrogen.  I guess maybe Charlotte, having two brothers and two sons, feels a bit surrounded by testosterone ...
