That would be really sweet if the first family orders were given to Alexandra and the Duchess of Gloucester. And in time for the coronation would be perfect!
I would also give it to the Duchess of Kent, who is the oldest living member of the family now.

We would never know if he gives it to Katherine Kent as I seriously doubt she will ever be making any public appearances again. But it's a lovely thought. I would endorse that idea.

Elizabeth II seemed to distribute honors to her family members when they seemed *earned,* though late in life she seemed a bit looser with their distribution.  Thus, Anne was quite grown up when created Princess Royal, for example, compared to previous princess royal recipients.

It would be great to see the duchesses of Kent and Gloucester as Ladies of the Garter, Princess Michael with a family order... I wonder what he would give Lady Sarah and Lord Snowdon (obviously not the family order, but maybe the VO?).
