Is it just me or does CP look much better suited to at least 95% of the women and some of the men he interacts with than he does his wife?
Not just you, I 100% agree! He also seems much more relaxed during solo engagements than with his wife.
Perhaps because he does not feel on edge about having to defend his wife at all times if she is not there? Or the criticism is only online? They are clearly very happy with each other.
It’s my impression she (perhaps also him really) are only at vetted events so I don’t think he’s worried about the resistance against his wife at all. Actually no one in the SRF seems to care very much about public criticism at all..

True. I think since CG 'slimlined' the monarchy I think there has been much emphasis on CP and Sofia justifying their roles rather than explaining why they are integral (perhaps a petty case of semantics I know).
Despite misgivings prior to and immediately after their marriage, I do not doubt that they are both in love with each other, and have raises three beautiful childrem. Perhaps some pressure is somewhat alleviated if Sofia is not there. Though I cannot help but think had Sofia addressed her past and a desire to draw a line and move on, similar to Mette-Marit, a lot of people's view of Sofia would change. I'm sorry, but while Sofia fails to address her online bullying and outright sexism aimed at children, I will continue to be wary of her actions.
