I hope this boy is being trained because with Albert and Charlene, Monaco is going nowhere Maybe this Order means something.

That Andrea can hold his liquor? (Which probably is an important skill for future heads of state. You wouldn't want to let the Russian ambassador drink you under the table. )

That Andrea can hold his liquor? [/quote] A's talents reminds me of the Porter's speech in Macbeth: Porter 24 'Faith sir, we were carousing till the second cock; 25 and drink, sir, is a great provoker of three things. MACDUFF 26 What three things does drink especially pro-voke? Porter 28 Marry, sir, nose-painting, sleep, and urine. 29 Lechery, sir, it provokes, and unprovokes; it provokes 30 the desire, but it takes away the performance. There- 31 fore, much drink may be said to be an equivocator 32 with lechery: it makes him, and it mars him; it sets him 33 on, and it takes him off; it persuades him, and dis- 34 heartens him; makes him stand to, and not stand to; in 35 conclusion, equivocates him in a sleep, and, giving him 36 the lie, leaves him. http://shakespeare-navigators.com/macbeth/T23.htmlG

ANDREW DENTON: Yes. What did... When you first met, what did you see in each other? CROWN PRINCE FREDERIK: What did we see in each other? We saw... Well, it's a bit hard. It's a bit blurry, in a way, because it was just after the Olympics had started and it was one of those evenings where...

Well, there's a similar thing in France, but instead of beer, it's wine. The order is a somehow funny, but it's part of Monaco's culture. So, it's sort of a nice order. And...what we see is that Andrea has an Order of cultural merits (haute cuisine) while The Princess Of Monaco, Charlene, has nothing.

January 20, 2012 H.S.H. Prince Albert II and Andrea Casiraghi attended Mass for the Feast of Saint Sebastian, Patron Saint of the Prince's Company of Carabiniers, in the presence of Colonel Fringant, Chamberlain of HSH the Prince and High Commander of the Public Forces, Commander Philippe Rebaudengo, Commanding Officer of the Prince's Carabiniers, and many Monegasque personalities. Andrea Casiraghi was then given the insignia for the rank of Brigadier in the Prince's Company of Carabiniers during a cocktail organised at the Oceanographic Museum.| http://www.palais.mc/mona...saint-sebastian.2703.html

Thanks Flor for all infos I bet we will see Andrea as Alberts successor. Albert totally sucks as father, but itīs good to see he is close to his nephews and nieces. If Andrea is Prince he will have to drop the name Casiraghi for Grimaldi.

You are most welcome, Miss Waynfleet. I think Andrea will be a good successor if Albert do not have a child. Even though he seems very shy, he has great personal charisma.

I think Andrea would be a good successor if Albert did not have a child. Even though he seems very shy, he has great personal charisma. ... as long as he manages to steer clear of all sorts of illicit substances, sticks to traffic law and keeps his clothes on. Let's just hope for his sake that this isn't just a fluke and Albert changes his mind again in a year or two. I don't think Andrea was in an easy position for the past ten years or so - first he was simply the oldest child of Caro, with very few things to concern himself with. Then Grandpa changes the succession law and Albert doesn't manage to produce legitimate children, so Andrea gets bounced smack into the middle of the line of succession. Then Albert gets engaged and married, so Andrea is sidelined again. And now it seems that Albert is building him up as a successor after all. The poor guy must have a serious case of whiplash by now. I don't imagine it's fun to approach thirty and still get dragged in all directions because of quirks in the family situation.

If Andrea is Prince he will have to drop the name Casiraghi for Grimaldi. True, he will have to take the Grimaldi Coat-Of-Arms, plus use the Grimaldi name instead of Casiraghi. This might be tough for him because I have read that of all the Casi kids he is the one who remembers and misses his father most!

But my hope are on the whole trio, I think together they could boost Monacos image again.
