Mary's Ruby Parure was originally smaller ..... Ingrid added to it.

Queen Alexandrine

Ingrid as Crown Princess probably

I think she added the brooch(es) in the picture.

These sapphires are Drool Drool Drool

I like them *much* better than the Leuchtenberg Parure, or QEII's sapphires.

Does anyone know their history?

I think the sapphires are from russia and came into the DRF via Queen alexandrine (marge's grandmother). Alexandrine's mother was Russian.

They always look genuinely happy to be together. Is it possible that this is a real love match---for both of them?

The Diamond & Ruby suite - Glenn Slaikjaer's Danish Royal Jewels

I like this 1000x more than the Ruby Parure. These have a Renaissance look/design, which I love. And these rubies are much better than the ones in the RP---those rubies are a very pale pink, which good rubies are not supposed to be.

Out of those three, I have to say that I by far prefer the Midnight Tiara. Marge´s Poppy Tiara looks like a disease.
But who knows, maybe the Lily Tiara will look good on Marie, we´ll have to wait and see.

I agree with you, abs.

I hope they'll set Maries tiara higher, add this little velvet band thingie, they add to tiara's at times, so the band with the Amethyst's doesn't sit right atop her head.

Do we know if the 2nd and 3rd tiara on the right still are in the DRF's possession? It says the belonged to Queen Alexandrine.

I figured out the first one, it is the emrald tiara

The Danish royal events usually provide the most unique displays of royal jewels and the wedding of Princess Margrethe confirmed this rule, with historical jewels being worn by the royal ladies. The jewels worn by the bride on the wedding celebrations are described in the page that concerns the Princess’ wedding dress, while the jewels worn by all other members of the Royal Family will be reviewed here. On the first gala, for the Diplomatic Corps, Queen Ingrid wore the elegant Rosenborg diamond and emerald parure that partially belongs to the Danish Crown and as such can only be worn in Denmark, as it cannot leave the country. The parure consists of 67 emeralds and 2650 diamonds and consists of a tiara, a magnificent necklace, earrings and a brooch that was not worn on this occasion.
