Why this sudden greed? Are they running out of cash?

If this is case he's doing it the totally wrong way. Having a castle is one thing, providing and keeping that castle running is a total other. It's not cheap. Just think of the heating alone.

Why do you think there're so many aristocrats renting out their properties for weddings and exhibitions?

Certainly not, because they love the company.

Thanks. I understand what's going on here. He obviously wants to live off of the hard work from others.

Germany's ex-royals want their riches back, but past ties to Hitler stand in the way

Georg Friedrich, Prince of Prussia, is locked in a legal battle for more than 10,000 family artifacts seized or lost after World War II.
The case rests on one question: Did his ancestors help the Nazis?

Good luck with that Georg. How about we give those things back to the people your family stole them from or who unwilling paid for them with their tax dollars. That I can get behind.

Well that would not be one of the only “royals” to have supported Hitler. Still waiting for others to acknowledge their part  Whistle

Personally, I think we should give them back to the artists/makers.  What?  They're all dead?  Well then let's cremate all the things too and spread them on the ground so that everyone can enjoy them ...
Sigh ... this has been going on for years!  It will continue to go on for years.  As soon as one Hohenzoller has a family, he (it's usually a he) starts thinking of his legacy and gets his knickers in a twist that he doesn't have as much to pass on as his forebears ... ooooh, I feel SO sorry ...!
