I'm in the middle of "Comrade Baron" right now. It's about the surviving Transylvanian aristocratic families (or not) and pre- and post-Communism.  Very good.

The Barcsays are among the oldest families in Translyvania.     
Arkos Barcsay Prince of Transylvania (1610-1661) acted as Regent during Prince George II Rakoczy's Polish campaign in 1657.

Janos Malonyay (c. 1773-1873) was an imperial royal chamberlain, royal doorman, and vice chancellor. He became a baron in 1790. From 1831, he kept the minutes of the general assembly in Hungarian.

Count Gyula Andrassy (1823-1890) was a Hungarian politician. He was the Prime Minister of Transleithania from 1867 to 1871.

Countess Alice Szechenyi (1911-1974) is the daughter of Count Laszlo Szechenyi and Countess Gladys (Vanderbilt) Szechenyi.   
She married Hungarian Count Bela Hadik.   
In 1965 she assisted with planning the fourth annual ball of the Grand Council of the Hungarian Boys Scout Association.
