Sonja's dress was so nice and simple. It looked really good on her.

Totally agree!
When designer Pär Engsheden sew the dress (all by hand) he did have white gloves on him the whole time.
The dress is made of finest double silk-duchesse , 36 meters!

Maxima and Vic are my favorite modern CP wedding gowns.  I also liked Claire of Belgium's dress and Marie's dress.  I loved Grace Kelly's gown, but I hated the headpiece.  MM's dress was also beautiful.

Sylvia's gown is just hideous.  It is so fugly and frumpy.  I think that dress looked absolutely horrible on her.  It looked like a nun or some sort of nurse's outfit (on the top half).  It might be one of the worst gowns ever. I'm sure the fabric of Sylvia's dress was the finest available, but it looks like some sort of cheap polyester.  Mabel of NL's bows, Rania's dress, Leti's dress, Mary's dress (the bottom half), Annette of NL, Marilene of NL and Princess Stephanie's short lacy thing are all possibly the worst gowns of the modern royal generation.

My favourites of the current crop are definitely M-M and possibly Victoria.

Of the oder royal brides Grace and Princess Soraya had the best dresses IMO.

Mine too, she was the best dressed bride of the current CPss  Yes
She looked really pretty on her wedding day while other royal brides(imo Mary for ex.) looked worse than any other day.

The had two weddings, one traditional Japanese and one "western".

Barbie and Ken part 2

And a "western-inspired-wedding" apparently means handbag instead of bouquet!  Whistle

Of the newer royal brides I really like Victoria, MM and Maxima. Grace also looked stunning.

I cannot believe there are people out there who liked Mary's dress. Not caring about who wore it, the dress was totally mismatched IMO and it didn't look well-made either.

Mary's dress would have looked fine but she ruined it with those horrible folds on the skirt. A simple bell shaped skirt would have been best as well as a less severe hair style. Right from the beginning she showed she had no clue what was best for her, she probably ordered the hairdresser and the dressmaker to do what she wanted.
