It is a lovely reflection of their culture’s way of honoring a foreign dignitary.  They seem like a gentle and genuine people, interesting culture and their monarch and family are a great representation of this.

Considering there is an almost 4 year age difference between their boys I wouldn’t be surprised if they waited a couple years for another.

Sadly, when reading this I always wonder, if the gap was on purpose or if the little one(s) simply couldn't make it.

Jetsun Pema turns 31 years old

Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan (The Gyaltsuen) celebrated her 31st birthday. The Gyaltsuen literally means “Dragon Queen”.

Their two children were born on February 5, 2016, Crown Prince Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck, Druk Gyalsey (Dragon Prince) of Bhutan, and March 19, 2020, Prince Jigme Ugyen Wangchuck, respectively.

The King attended the Attestation Parade of the 77th group of Recruits to the Royal Bhutan Army at the Military Training Centre in Tencholing, Wangduephodrang.
The Queen and the Gyalsey Jigme Namgyel accompanied The King.
